Pension and Health Benefits

Health, Disability, Life Insurance, and Pension is available to all clergy and lay professionals employed in the Diocese of Kentucky. Information is available on this site about health, disability and life insurance, eligibility, enrollment, claims and policy cancellation procedures. Also available here is information on pension and other benefits available to employees. Each parish is considered their own employing unit and should create their own guidelines for benefit participation that meet the minimum standards set by the Diocese and General Convention.

Pension

Pension benefits are to be offered to all lay employees working more than 1,000 hours annually and to all clergy employed.

    Forms for clergy and lay employee pension plans in addition to planning worksheets and other publications. Note: These forms need to come to the Diocesan Office to facilitate the enrollment process.
  • Tools for Financial Planning (for lay and clergy)
    Online worksheets from the Church Pension Fund for assessing retirement needs for you and your family.
  • Retirement Savings Plans (403b RSVP for clergy; 403b RSVP for lay)
    The Church Life Insurance Corporation offers a range of tax-sheltered investment vehicles that can help you save for retirement and postpone taxes at the same time.

Health benefits are to be offered to all lay employees working more than 1,500 hours annually and to all clergy employed.
